FACILITIES & PRICES

Chearsley Village Hall is a fantastic new facility in the heart of our rural village.  It opened in April 2018 and has the following rooms to hire:

Walnut Room and Chestnut Room

The Walnut Room measures 70m2 (excluding storage, toilet and kitchen areas). Dimensions are approx 9m x 7.5m. 

The Chestnut Room measures 92m2 (excluding storage, toilet and kitchen areas) .  Dimensions are approximately 9m x 10.2m. 

The cost to hire either room is £20 per hour and £250 for the weekend.  If you are a charity it will cost £15 per hour and £150 for the weekend.  For Chearsley community groups i.e. Women's Institute, Parish Council, St Nicholas Church etc, the cost will be £15 per 'session' (2 - 3 hours).  Weekend rates for these groups will be by special arrangement only.

Please note that set up time will need to be paid for.  To note also that if another event is taking place  in the hall, then potentially the kitchen facilities will need to be shared.

The Whole Hall (the Walnut and Chestnut Rooms together)

The entire hall measures 162m2 (excluding storage, toilet and kitchen areas).  Dimensions are approximately 18m x 9m.

The cost to hire the whole hall is £30 per hour and £500 for the weekend.  If you are a charity it will cost £20 per hour and £300 for the weekend.  For Chearsley community groups i.e. Women's Institute, Parish Council, St Nicholas Church etc it will cost £20 per 'session' (2 - 3 hours).  Weekend rates for these groups will be by special arrangement only.

Please note that a deposit of £250 will need to be paid in advance and set up time will also need to be paid for.  Where applicable, an additional levy of £50 will be added onto the bill to pay for a dedicated venue manager.

The hall can accommodate up to a maximum of 200 people.  Click here to work out how many people each room can accommodate for different types of set up e.g. theatre style, black tie functions etc.  

Please note that hirers will have to turn loud music off by 11pm as the hall is situated in a residential area.  Hirers will also have to vacate the hall and grounds by midnight on a Friday and Saturday night.  Please read our detailed hirers policy here

Please note the playground area is always open to the public as a condition of our funding so if you intend to use the outside area then you have to share with playground users.

Catering Facilities

The hall has a commercial kitchen with a double oven, dishwasher and fridge.  Limited crockery, cutlery and glasses are also available to use.  An inventory is available to view here. For large, catered events - a visit prior to booking is advised to check the facilities (email chearsleyvillagehall@gmail.com to arrange this).  Our preferred catering company is Cavendish Catering who have been vetted by the Village Hall Committee and may offer a discount when you quote CVH2018.

Photographer/Face Painter

Our local photographer is Sharon Sampson  who can organise photo booths or take photos of your special event.  She can also do face painting for £20 an hour. Contact her via her website www.sharonsampson.co.uk 

Chairs and Tables

We have a selection of approximately 100 basic chairs and 20 trestle tables which are available for hirers to use in the hall.  Dimensions are as follows:

 

8 x tables, (755mm x 1825mm), 8 x tables  (610mm x 1825mm) and 4x smaller tables (610mm x 910 mm).
